Radicle

Radicle is an open source, peer-to-peer code collaboration stack built on Git, described by its makers as a "sovereign code forge." Instead of a client-server model, repositories are replicated across peers, so no single entity controls the network or user data. Each repository is assigned a stable, cryptographically verifiable identity (Repository ID), which allows repositories to be served by untrusted parties and lets clients confirm that a repository head was signed by a current maintainer via the repository identity document.

The stack is modular: a Radicle CLI, a web interface and a TUI sit on top of a Radicle Node (using NoiseXK) and a Radicle HTTP Daemon (HTTP + JSON), with repository code, issues and patches stored in Git-based Radicle Storage. Social artifacts such as issues, discussions and code review are implemented as Collaborative Objects (COBs) stored in Git's object database and signed with public-key cryptography, making them available offline. Radicle is local-first, supports private repositories shared only with an allow-listed set of peers, and supports Tor onion-service configurations, with Nym and I2P support described as intended but early. Software is distributed as reproducible builds with signed, checksummed binaries for Linux and macOS on x86_64 and aarch64, plus APT, AUR and Nixpkgs packages.

The project's own materials contain some inconsistencies about platform coverage: the homepage states Radicle works on Linux, macOS and BSD variants as well as Windows, while the FAQ says only Unix-based systems are supported and Windows support is planned if there is demand.
