Pledgeling

Pledge, operated by Pledgeling Technologies, is a charitable giving and fundraising platform used by companies, nonprofits and individuals. Its products include embedded giving, fundraiser pages, donation forms, text-to-donate and QR code campaigns, live event displays, e-commerce and livestream fundraising, employee giving and corporate partnership programs, crowdfunding, peer-to-peer fundraising and an AI-assisted content feature (PledgeAI). The platform supports twelve donation methods, including crypto, Venmo, PayPal, stock, donor-advised funds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cards, and offers CRM integrations and donor data reporting.

Donations to nonprofits are processed through Pledgeling Foundation, a 501(c)(3) donor-advised fund that regrants funds monthly to recipient organizations in good standing with the IRS, issuing instant tax receipts to donors. The Foundation distributes tens of thousands of donations each month originating from employer donation programs, services such as Evite, media platforms, Shopify merchants and other brands and nonprofits. Eligible recipients are US 501(c)(3) public charities, with international nonprofits separately vetted and cross-border donations routed through partners. Pledge maintains its nonprofit database using periodic IRS uploads, GuideStar and third-party data feeds, supplemented by internal review.

Compliance and trust functions include AB 488 and US state charitable platform registrations, PCI DSS Level 3 payment security with Stripe, GDPR and CCPA alignment, OFAC sanctions screening and restricted-country blocking, AML/KYC alignment, single sign-on access control, internal fraud detection with red-flag and yellow-flag review of personal fundraisers, and encryption of data in transit and at rest. Corporate customers receive configurable matching policies, audit-ready reporting and disbursement logs.
