Morpheus Space

Morpheus Space designs and manufactures electric propulsion systems for satellites, based on Field Emission Electric Propulsion (FEEP) technology developed at the Technical University of Dresden. Its current product, the second-generation GO-2 system, is a modular unit of roughly 1U in size intended for spacecraft from 6U upward, containing 40 individually controlled thrusters, each with its own propellant tank and independent thrust control. The system uses a solid metallic propellant with no moving parts, chemicals or pressurization, and is specified at a total thrust range of 5-400 µN, an optimal total impulse range of 12.4-6.2 kNs, power draw of 7-40 W, and a footprint of 113 x 98 mm².

The systems address constellation deployment and repositioning, deorbiting, collision avoidance and station keeping. Alongside propulsion hardware, the company offers satellite operators a mobility platform for mission analysis and design, and provides a web-based "GO-2 Estimator" that lets prospective customers calculate how many units a given satellite requires. The company describes its core technology as in orbit since 2018 and supporting commercial customer missions since 2023, and cites a first in-space test of a nanosatellite propulsion system and the first nanosatellite collision avoidance maneuver.
