Technology

Named customers and users include Rambam Health Care Campus, Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, Maccabi Healthcare Services, Clalit Healthcare Services and Assuta Medical Center in Israel; Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Intermountain Healthcare and the Regenstrief Institute in the U.S.; and The Ottawa Hospital and McGill University Health Centre in Canada. The company has targeted further expansion in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

History

OrbiMed Israel Partners led an initial investment in 2016, and Lightspeed Venture Partners led a 2017 financing; the first product was released in February 2017, by which time the company counted much of Israel's healthcare system as customers. In January 2018 MDClone signed its first major U.S. deal, with Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and announced $15 million in funding the following month. A $26 million Series B led by aMoon followed in August 2019, by which point U.S. clients included Intermountain Healthcare and the Regenstrief Institute. In March 2022 the company raised a $63 million Series C led by Warburg Pincus and Viola Growth to fund geographic expansion and entry into life sciences and real-world evidence. Bruno Lempernesse later became Chief Executive Officer, with founder Ziv Ofek serving as Co-Founder and President.
