Haekka

Haekka is an employee training platform that delivers microlearning inside workplace chat, principally Slack. Employees receive assignments, reminders and complete entire lessons — including video content — without leaving Slack, while administrators assign training to individuals, groups, Slack channels and workspaces, and track progress through dashboards and reports. The company describes a catalog of customizable courses covering security awareness, HIPAA, privacy, GDPR, SaaS applications, PCI and harassment, and supports importing content from existing systems or authoring new material in its editor.

Haekka integrates with Slack, Google Workspace and HRIS platforms, can sync users and courses from LMS tools including Seismic and Docebo, can push training evidence to compliance platforms such as Vanta, and exposes a public API for pushing and pulling training results. The company positions the platform for remote, hybrid and distributed teams working in SaaS and cloud environments.

Founding story

Haekka's founding team had worked remotely for the seven years preceding the 2021 funding announcement, and one co-founder had previously co-founded a startup that raised $13M across three rounds. The team set out to build a remote-by-design company drawing talent from rural locations in Colorado and remote workers globally, and pivoted the product direction in early 2020 in response to market feedback before completing its pre-seed raise.

A free plan supports up to 1,000 users with access to free training courses and completion reports. Traction

Company materials state that Slack-native training is preferred by over 90% of users over previous training experiences and that hundreds of companies train more than 250,000 employees on the platform. Marketing copy also claims cost reduction of 75% and an 81% improvement in employee satisfaction with training. A third-party profile estimates roughly 8 employees and annual revenue between $1M and $10M as of July 2026.

Latest developments

Haekka announced its acquisition by Hook Security on January 13, 2025, following a partnership announced in November 2024. The company continues to publish product and L&D content, with blog posts through September 2025, and markets its Streams and Pulse modules as generally available with Phishing offered as an add-on.
