Company profile

researched Aug 2026

Former Robinhood Crypto engineers Tushar Soni and Qinyu Tong incorporated Tenlab Technologies in June 2023 and entered YC S23 as WalletKit, initially offering high-level APIs for consumer web3 apps to create wallets and work with tokens/NFTs without deep blockchain expertise. Customer discovery revealed a sharper bottleneck: users already had assets, but often on the wrong chain, in the wrong token, at an exchange or behind a card. The company pivoted and rebranded to Glide, building a single embedded flow for funding a destination wallet from practically any supported source without forcing the user through visible bridge, swap, gas-token or repeated-KYC steps. Glide exposed a customizable Deposit Widget and Headless SDK, plus a pay-with-crypto checkout product. Its routing layer chose between Glide's instant relayer and bridge-and-swap routes based on cost and speed; self-custodial escrow smart contracts made transfers verifiable onchain and allowed multi-million-dollar settlement. By July 2026 Glide supported 100+ tokens across 30+ blockchain networks, processed more than $100m in annualized volume and served more than 50 business customers with a four-person team. The public standard plan cost $99/month with unlimited transaction volume/users, a 15-day trial, 100+ tokens/30+ networks and card integrations; enterprise added dedicated support, custom terms and volume-based fees. Confirmed backers include Y Combinator, CMCC Global's Titan Fund, Benchmark and SV Angel, with additional investors undisclosed. Only YC's standard $500k investment can be quantified from reliable public evidence; CEO Soni explicitly declined to disclose total capital, so aggregator claims of $18.5m are rejected. MoonPay acquired Glide on July 16, 2026 in an all-equity transaction for undisclosed value. The whole four-person team, technology and 50+ customers joined MoonPay, and the routing stack became part of MoonPay Deposits alongside MoonPay's onramps, virtual accounts and swaps. Key risks included smart-contract/bridge/relayer exploits, price and liquidity slippage, blockchain reorgs/outages, sanctions/KYC/AML and money-transmission requirements, third-party exchange/onramp dependencies, self-custody UX edge cases and volatile crypto activity.

Founding story

Soni and Tong met while building Robinhood Wallet. They entered YC with WalletKit to abstract wallet/token/NFT infrastructure, then learned that consumer-app abandonment occurred even earlier—when funds were trapped in another token, chain, exchange or card—and pivoted to a universal deposit flow.

Business model

B2B developer/payment infrastructure embedded by wallets, decentralized apps, exchanges, prediction markets, games and payment platforms.

Monthly platform subscription plus enterprise volume-based transaction pricing and custom support/contract terms.

Traction

At acquisition: >$100m annualized transaction volume, 50+ business customers, 100+ supported tokens, 30+ blockchain networks and four employees. MoonPay said the system supported instant cross-chain settlement including multi-million-dollar transfers.

Latest developments

MoonPay closed the acquisition July 16, 2026. Glide's routing, escrow, deposit and payments technology is folding into MoonPay Deposits; its >50 business customers and entire four-person team moved to the acquirer.

Wallets; decentralized applications; prediction markets; games; exchanges/trading apps; crypto commerce and payment platforms.

Geography

Built in New York and California; global crypto rails spanning wallets, exchanges, cards and 30+ blockchain networks.

History

Ownership

Wholly acquired by MoonPay in an undisclosed all-equity deal. All four employees, founders, technology and customers joined MoonPay; the standalone brand/site remains a transition/product reference.

Risks & controversies

No material public enforcement or legal controversy found. High inherent risk from smart-contract/bridge vulnerabilities, liquidity and slippage, relayer solvency/availability, chain reorgs, sanctions screening, KYC/AML and money-transmission classifications, exchange/onramp API dependence, asset-loss UX and crypto-cycle transaction volatility.
