GITAI USA Inc. is a space robotics company headquartered in Torrance, California, that develops robotic systems intended to lower the cost of labor in space by a factor of 100. The company operates in two stated business areas: on-orbit services and lunar infrastructure construction. Its product and service lines include a standard spacecraft platform, satellite components, an inchworm-type robotic arm, a lunar rover, on-orbit servicing, and lunar infrastructure construction.

GITAI designs and manufactures its space robotics systems — robotic arms, satellites and robotic rovers — within the United States. Applications described by the company include solar panel assembly, repair, payload transfer, docking support and human EVA support on space stations; satellite servicing such as fueling, assembly and manufacturing; space debris removal by direct capture or orbital modification; and inspection and construction work on the lunar and Martian surface in support of in-situ resource utilization. Over half of its full-time employees hold PhDs in engineering and science, and the team has included former University of Tokyo research associates and former NASA employees.

Corporate structure comprises GITAI USA Inc. as headquarters and parent, GITAI Japan, Inc. as a Japanese subsidiary, and GITAI Defense & Space LLC, a Delaware-incorporated U.S. subsidiary established in April 2025 and held under a voting trust (51% by a U.S. trust company, 49% by GITAI USA Inc.) so that it can act as a prime contractor on U.S. Department of Defense and NASA solicitations that require majority U.S. ownership or control.
