Freeletics

Freeletics is a fitness application developed and published by Freeletics GmbH, headquartered in Munich, Germany. The app delivers personalized training plans generated by an AI Coach combined with input from sports scientists, covering high-intensity interval training, calisthenics and bodyweight workouts, gym and weights training, cardio, running, strength, and weight-loss programs. Sessions are typically 15 to 50 minutes, and the company states its exercise library covers more than 700 exercises with a very large number of possible workout combinations.

Users select a "Training Journey" based on goals, available equipment, preferred training days, and running preferences; the Coach then adapts subsequent sessions based on logged performance and post-session feedback. Additional product features include a workout creator, manual logging of activities such as cycling or hiking, syncing with Apple Health, Health Connect and Strava, Apple Watch training, a points/levels system and the Daily Athlete Score, and a separate Freeletics Nutrition product with meal plans, recipe filters, shopping lists and food preference settings. The app also supports community features, including a network of "Free Athletes," self-organized group sessions in public parks, local ambassadors, and multilingual community forums in English, German, Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese.

Historically, the company reported over 31 million users in more than 160 countries at the time of its Series A, later reported 54 million users, and its website currently cites 60 million users and 450 million completed training sessions. In November 2021 it announced "STÆDIUM," an expansion into AI-supported weight training at home.
