Exero Medical develops the xBar system, which uses electrode sensors embedded in a standard surgical drain to non-invasively monitor post-operative tissue healing and detect anastomotic leaks after gastrointestinal surgery. The system provides healthcare providers with post-operative data to enable earlier detection of complications; it is currently limited to investigational use in the US.
