Bubble operates a mobile app and website through which parents find and book childcare, including babysitters, nannies, night nannies, after-school nannies, full-time nannies and emergency childcare. Sitter profiles carry verified parent reviews and key screening information such as DBS status, and the company states that it accepts one in four sitter applicants. Parents choose the timing, location and carer for each booking and can arrange to meet a sitter beforehand.

Payment is handled in-app, with each booking described as fully insured and backed by a support team available from 9am to 9pm, seven days a week. A social discovery feature lets parents see which babysitters and nannies are already trusted by connections through friends, school or nursery. Alongside the consumer marketplace, Bubble sells Bubble for Work, a workplace benefit covering back-up childcare and eldercare for employees. The company also publishes guides aimed at parents, sitters, nannies and employers, and runs separate registration flows for parents, sitters and nannies as well as a permanent nanny placement service and nanny job listings.
