Co-founded Harris Associates and led it and the Oakmark Funds as Chairman/CEO before retirement, later co-founding and chairing Valor Equity Partners, and continues investing through the Partners Resolute portfolios. Holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from IIT and a JD from American University.
