Richelieu Dennis is a Managing Partner of New Voices with three decades of experience as an entrepreneur and investor focused on companies owned by people of color. In 1991 he co-founded Sundial Brands, maker of the SheaMoisture and Nubian Heritage brands, and served as its chair and CEO until December 2019, when it was acquired by Unilever. In December 2017 he founded Essence Ventures, which acquired Essence Communications from Time Inc. He holds an undergraduate degree in finance and entrepreneurship from Babson College.
