Peter Schmidt leads deal-flow at Refinery Ventures, managing the investment pipeline through sourcing, due diligence, thesis development, market research, and co-investor relations, while also supporting portfolio companies and fund management. Before Refinery, he worked in venture capital and private equity, having invested more than $23 million across pre-seed to Series B venture deals and several small control investments. He holds a B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Cincinnati and writes a newsletter on finance, startups, and venture capital.
