About
Michael Levitt is a biophysicist and Nobel laureate (2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry) whose research has focused on the molecular structure of biological compounds, protein folding, and computer modelling in biology, including the first computerised model of an enzyme reaction. He earned a bachelor's degree in Physics from King's College London (1967) and a doctorate in biophysics from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology and the University of Cambridge (1971), and has held academic positions at the Weizmann Institute of Science and the MRC Laboratory. He has been a Professor of Structural Biology at Stanford University since 1987 and serves on LongeVC's Advisory Board.
