About

Matt Kaeberlein, PhD, is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Washington School of Medicine, with adjunct appointments in Genome Sciences and Oral Health Sciences, and serves on LongeVC's Advisory Board. His research addresses the biological mechanisms of ageing to support interventions that extend healthspan, and he has authored over 200 scientific papers. He founded the Healthy Aging and Longevity Research Institute at the University of Washington, directs the Nathan Shock Center of Excellence, and co-directs the Dog Aging Project; he holds a bachelor's degree in Math and Biochemistry from Western Washington University and a PhD in Biology from MIT.
