Lou Hermans is a serial entrepreneur who co-founded and sold two image sensor companies, CMOSIS (acquired by ams AG in 2015) and FillFactory (an IMEC spin-off acquired by Cypress Semiconductor in 2004), and previously held various roles at IMEC. He holds a PhD in physics from KU Leuven, and his focus is on image sensors, machine learning, AI, and Industry 4.0.
