Koji Yasuda earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University and a PhD in Computational Biology from Harvard University, conducting his doctoral research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard. He was a founding member of Kintai Therapeutics (later Senda Biosciences), a biotech company from Flagship Pioneering, where his doctoral research formed the basis of the company's intellectual property. He subsequently worked at Takeda in Boston, leading clinical biomarker strategy for programs including Fazirsiran and modakafusp alfa, and at Pfizer, where he developed clinical biomarker strategies for targeted therapies.
