Dr. Jessica Gilbertie is the Founder and CEO of Qentoros, Inc. and an Associate Professor of Microbiology at the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She earned a BS/MS at Virginia Tech, a DVM at Iowa State University, and a PhD from NCSU-CVM in 2019, with prior training including an equine medicine internship in New Jersey, a translational research fellowship at UPenn, and a postdoctoral fellowship at NCSU-CVM. Her research addresses the pathogenesis of infectious and inflammatory orthopedic disease, and at Qentoros she leads research, development, and clinical application of a platelet-derived therapeutic for infectious and inflammatory diseases in veterinary and human patients.
