Also, I don't ascribe to rhyme or reason Anthropic's fits and starts about Fable allowance inclusion, beyond the fact that they know full well that they'll lose $100/200 subs to OpenAI without Fable instead of capturing API revenue, and subs are actually positive net margin. 5/5

Which is why everyone is agog about DeepSeek's cache hit pricing on DSV4 Flash, which you could alternately measure as ~$1/GB of cache read. At normal LLM workloads with a high cache hit rate, you're basically only paying for output tokens. 4/5
