Harley Rouda, born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, began his career practicing securities, business formation, and intellectual property law before joining his father's real estate firm, where he oversaw the acquisition and roll-up of 14 companies under the name Real Living and earned an MBA from The Ohio State University. Real Living was sold to Brookfield in 2009 and later to Berkshire Hathaway in 2012. In 2018, Rouda was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and served in the 116th Congress beginning January 3, 2019; he currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at Trident Holdings, Inc.
