He holds B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley, and completed postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley and UCSF studying proinflammatory gene expression and metabolic-epigenetic pathways in the immune system. He co-founded Inapill with Josh Farahzad; the company is supported by venture studio General Inception and operates out of Bakar Bio Labs on the UC Berkeley campus.
