About
George Hara founded a fiber optics display startup as a Stanford graduate student in 1981 before establishing DEFTA Partners, where he has backed and led numerous early-stage technology companies in the US, Europe, and Israel, including Viagene, Isis Pharmaceuticals, and Arris Pharmaceuticals. He has also held senior advisory roles in the Japanese government and recently launched DEFTA Healthcare Technologies.
