Dixon Doll is a private investor and partner emeritus of DCM Ventures, a global venture capital firm with offices in Silicon Valley, Beijing, and Tokyo that he founded. Over more than 35 years, he has invested in and advised companies in the computer, communications, and internet industries, including serving as a board member of DirecTV prior to its 2015 acquisition by AT&T. Doll chaired the U.S. National Venture Capital Association in 2008-09, during which he led development of the NVCA 4-Pillar Plan that influenced the JOBS Act signed into law in 2012, and currently serves on multiple corporate and nonprofit boards including Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, the Papal Foundation, and the San Francisco Opera Association.
