Dan Greenfield is the co-founder and CTO of PetaGene, where he has led development of the genomics compression software PetaSuite, which received Best of Show awards at BioIT World in 2016, 2018, and 2019. His earlier work spans software and hardware roles at Silicon Valley companies, including designing an FP16 shader for GPUs and architecting SIMD media processors and networking stacks at a startup later acquired by nVidia. His PhD dissertation, which addressed computer architecture, network organization, and the human brain, won the 2011 BCS Distinguished Dissertation Prize, and he was a recipient of the Gates Cambridge Scholarship.
