Collin Collins is a Professor in the Department of Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia and a senior scientist and Director of the Laboratory for Advanced Genome Analysis at the Vancouver Prostate Centre, with adjunct appointments at the University of California San Francisco Comprehensive Cancer Center and Fudan University in Shanghai. His work focuses on translational genomics, and he invented and patented End Sequence Profiling, a method for characterizing tumor genome structure and detecting fusion genes. Collins has authored over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts, holds multiple patents, and serves on several scientific advisory and editorial boards, including those of the International Drug Discovery Science and Technology Conference and the Open Pathology Journal.
