Previously board partner at Andreessen Horowitz, he built and sold an online marketplace for used books to AbeBooks.com in 1999, where he served as COO before the company's acquisition by Amazon. Holds a PhD in Business Economics and was named Pacific Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005.
