Michael Rogers is a former director of the National Security Agency (NSA), former chief of the Central Security Service, and former commander of U.S. Cyber Command, serving in those roles from April 2014 until his retirement in June 2018 after 37 years of service. During his tenure he oversaw the NSA and Cyber Command responses to the Snowden leaks and Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, and he directed the NSA's largest reorganization in two decades. He also led the creation of the nation's cyber mission force, contributing to the elevation of Cyber Command to a senior command level within the DOD.
