Investment thesis

WDB Investment Holdings is a fully women-owned and led investment holding company focused on advancing and empowering women across South Africa and the broader African continent. It takes active strategic stakes in listed blue-chip and unlisted investee companies, serving at board level and promoting women into senior leadership roles. Unusually, most of its profits are channelled to the WDB Trust, a public benefit organisation running women's development and poverty-eradication programmes. Through the WDB Growth Fund, launched in 2016 with Seed Engine and Grovest, it also provides capital, mentorship, and business support to small, medium and micro enterprises to unlock economic growth and job creation.
