Investment thesis
Velar Capital is an early-stage venture fund backing startups and scale-ups building enterprise applications and IT infrastructure. Formed by experienced IT entrepreneurs, the firm views investment as a partnership with motivated founders, acting as a sparring partner to share knowledge, know-how and network alongside capital. Its partners invest their own money and are willing to take calculated risks, enabling fast decision-making. Velar is open to leading rounds but also co-invests with like-minded partners, and prefers to be approached through mutual introductions, particularly by founders tackling technical software challenges.
