Third Eye Capital

David is a Director, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of TECM and a member of TECC's Credit Committee, and a founder and former CEO of TECC. He has a long career in asset-based finance and commercial credit, having led a buyout of Tuckahoe Leasing, founded and sold Securcor Ltd. to The CIT Group, and headed CIT's Canadian operations before joining Pinnacle Capital in 2000. He holds an MBA from Ivey, is a Certified Management Accountant, a Certified Corporate Director (ICD.D), and completed a doctorate in accounting and management in Florida.

David G. Alexander is a Director, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of TECM and a member of TECC's Credit Committee, having also served as a founder and former CEO of TECC. His career spans asset-based finance and commercial credit, including executive roles at Business Development Bank, RoyNat, Traders/Guaranty, Tuckahoe Leasing, and The CIT Group, and he founded and later sold Securcor Ltd. to The CIT Group. He holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, is a Certified Management Accountant, and completed a doctoral degree in accounting and management in Florida.

Peter Neelands is a Principal at Third Eye Capital, where he works on originating, analyzing, structuring, and closing new investments, as well as due diligence and portfolio monitoring. He previously served as Vice President, Valuations at TECC and held senior roles in business valuation, litigation consulting, and transaction advisory at RSM Canada, BDO Canada, and Deloitte. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Accountant/CPA and Chartered Business Valuator.

Belle Kaura is Chief Compliance Officer and Vice-President, Legal at TECC and TECM, where she oversees the firm's compliance with securities laws and manages corporate policies and procedures. She previously served as Head of Legal and Compliance at PIMCO Canada, Senior Compliance Manager at BMO Bank of Montreal, and Enforcement and Policy Counsel at IIROC. She holds common law and civil law degrees from McGill University and a Master of Securities Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, and chairs the Alternative Investment Management Association in Canada.

Brian Hick is the Chief Financial Officer of TECC and TECM, overseeing finance, treasury, accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, liquidity and cash management, and portfolio accounting. He joined TECC in 2009 after working in New York as a Controller at a long/short equity fund, VP of Accounting at a private debt manager, and a senior auditor at Ernst & Young's investment fund practice. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, and Certified Fraud Examiner.

Bryan Davies is an operations leader with over 25 years in transportation and logistics, serving as Operating Principal responsible for performance and growth across TEC's logistics portfolio. He previously was Senior Vice President of Operations at Canada Cartage, where he ran a $790 million division and supported more than a dozen M&A transactions. He has worked extensively with private equity-backed companies, focusing on operational efficiency, scalability, and exit preparation, and holds a Bachelor of Science from Western University.

Casey Howell oversees transactional matters for Third Eye Capital's investments, including structuring, negotiations, and execution of loan and security documentation. Before joining the firm, he worked as a Senior Associate at Stikeman Elliott LLP, focusing on cross-border M&A, corporate debt and equity finance, and corporate and securities law. He holds an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University.

Chris Kwan handles financial and tax reporting, budgeting, payroll, cash management, fund accounting, performance measurement, and investment valuation at Third Eye Capital, which he joined in 2013. He previously served as Fund Controller at an alternative investments fund administrator and as a Senior Accountant at BDO Canada LLP. He holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant.

Christopher Vokes leads the investor relations function at TECM, managing relationships with external dealers and key clients of the funds the firm manages, advises, or participates in. Before joining in 2010, he held senior marketing roles at various hedge funds and investment firms and helped build the Western Canadian wholesale business of Trimark. He holds an MBA from the Queen's School of Business.

Clarence Kam is VP, Taxation at Third Eye Capital, where his work centers on transaction tax due diligence and structuring. He previously spent about fifteen years in public practice, most recently as a Senior Tax Manager focused on mergers and acquisitions at Ernst & Young. He holds Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant designations and earned master's degrees in Accounting and Tax from the University of Waterloo.

Claude Church is an executive with over 35 years of leadership experience spanning retail, manufacturing, consumer products, e-commerce, and satellite communications. He first joined Third Eye Capital in 2005 as its first hire, serving as Vice President of Originations until 2009, and returned in December 2024 as Operating Principal, focusing on operational turnarounds, M&A integration, and helping portfolio companies scale. He has held roles including CEO, Board Chair, and Chief Restructuring Officer, currently serves as CEO of the firm's e-grocery portfolio company, and lectures on business strategy at Toronto Metropolitan University. He holds an MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.

Dali Bar is a Senior Analyst at Third Eye Capital (TECC), where he has worked since 2010, handling financial and technical due diligence, field examinations, portfolio company audits, and investment monitoring and covenant compliance. He previously served as lead fraud examiner for an asset-based lending auditing company. Earlier in his career he founded several companies across industries such as construction, advanced manufacturing, electronics, and multi-tier automotive supply.

Dan Wu serves as Fund Controller at Third Eye Capital (TECC), where his work covers fund accounting, NAV and performance reporting, and profit allocation and cash management statements. Before joining the firm, he spent fifteen years in fund administrative services, most recently as a Fund Accounting Manager focused on alternative investments at State Street Bank & Trust. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and is a Certified Management Accountant/CPA.

Daniel Kashti is a technology and gaming executive serving as Operating Principal at Third Eye Capital (TEC), where he oversees strategy and operations across the firm's gaming portfolio, and is also Group CEO of Tangelo Games. He previously served as CEO of KamaGames, a mobile social casino publisher (2016–2018), and spent five years as Head of Mobile at PokerStars, leading its transition to mobile. He holds a BA in Business and an LLB in Law from Tel Aviv University.

Eric Stephenson is an Investments Analyst at Third Eye Capital, where he handles deal sourcing, structuring, due diligence, investment monitoring, and exits. He previously worked as an executive at a boutique financial consulting firm providing outsourced finance and corporate development services, and earlier served as a National Leader in BDO Canada's private company management consulting practice. He holds a Master of Finance from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University and is a CFA charterholder.

Jenna Smith is the Office Manager at Third Eye Capital (TECC), handling day-to-day administrative operations including procurement, IT, bookkeeping, expense management, and human resources. Before joining the firm in 2016, she worked as an office manager and executive assistant in London, England. She holds a business diploma from Fanshawe College in Canada.

Lorne Creighton handles deal sourcing, structuring, due diligence, investment monitoring, and exits at TECC. He was previously a Portfolio Manager at RPIA, a fixed income asset manager, and an investment professional at a Canadian distressed debt manager, with earlier roles in restructuring and M&A investment banking at Houlihan Lokey, Millstein & Co., and BMO Capital Markets. He holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario and is a CFA charterholder.

Michael Niklaus is VP of Loan Operations at Third Eye Capital, where he handles investment monitoring, servicing, and covenant compliance for the firm's portfolio and oversees loan collateral surveillance. He also manages servicing, workouts, and exits for portfolio companies in the alternative energy, mining, and oilfield services sectors. He joined the firm in 2010, having previously worked on the collateral analysis team at CIT/CIBC Asset-Based Lending.

Nicole Shinya handles investment monitoring, servicing, and covenant compliance for certain TECC investments at Third Eye Capital, and oversees collateral valuations and audits. She previously spent over a decade in commercial banking, including roles as Relationship Manager and Collateral Manager at CIT/CIBC Asset-Based Lending. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.

Patrick Harnett handles dispute and collection matters for Third Eye Capital, including lawsuits, foreclosures, receiverships, and insolvency/restructuring work tied to the firm's investment transactions, and takes part in negotiating and drafting related legal agreements. He previously was a partner at a national law firm in its commercial insolvency, litigation, and lending practices, with experience in restructurings, distressed debt, and security enforcement. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta, an MBA in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University, and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology/Physiology from the University of Waterloo.

Scott Simon is a Junior Analyst at Third Eye Capital, where he supports the firm's proprietary loan management system and handles compiling and inputting static data within it. He previously worked as a software developer at the firm and contributed to building the loan management system. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from Dalhousie University, where he was a co-op associate in the Audit and Assurance Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
