Kathy Chen joined SBCVC in 2010 as partner and CFO, bringing nearly 20 years of finance and accounting experience. She previously served as director and CFO at a branch of Credit Suisse and as a tax consulting manager at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. She is a CPA with degrees from NYU Stern and Fordham University.

Joined SBCVC in 2018 as a Managing Partner with over 30 years of M&A, investment, and management experience across industrial manufacturing and high-tech in the US, Singapore, and China, with deep expertise in semiconductors. Previously served as Dover Group Asia Pacific president and held vice president roles at ABB in China, Singapore, and the US.

Alan Song joined SBCVC in January 2000 and focuses on early-to-mid stage high-tech companies, handling deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio management, and sits on several company boards. Previously he was part of UTStarcom's founding team as Director of IT, CTO of MDC Telecom, a founder and director of GDS, and an assistant professor at the University of Connecticut.

Joined SBCVC in 2000, investing in IT, healthcare, and new energy sectors, and has served as a board director at several portfolio companies. Previously worked at McKinsey & Company and Siemens (USA); holds a B.S. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an MBA from Kellogg, and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.

Tim Liu joined SBCVC as a Managing Partner in November 2009, bringing experience in corporate management, investing, and entrepreneurship across Europe, Asia, and North America. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Tsinghua TongFang Corp and held technical roles at Broadcom, RCA Labs, Samsung, and Siemens, and holds an electrical engineering background from Xi'an Jiao Tong University.
