Investment thesis
Rothschild Capital Partners takes a long-term investment approach built on the view that capital markets investors frequently overreact to short-term news and underestimate the long-run impact of disruptive innovation. The firm traces its lineage through the Rothschild family's business and investing history, including the founding of Sun Life Insurance and later The Rothschild Company. Its technology fund, launched in 1997, combined public equities with venture investments, concentrating on enterprise software and communications infrastructure. In 2001 the firm assumed investment and operations responsibility for Rothschild Capital Management, successor to The Rothschild Company.
