Investment thesis
Rio Bravo is a long-term fundamental investor focused on real assets, operating across real estate, credit, equities, and multi-strategy mandates in Brazil. The firm views investing as an exercise in common sense and patience: identifying quality assets, paying competitive prices, and managing them until the optimal moment for realization. It emphasizes bottom-up, microeconomic asset evaluation (about 70% bottom-up, 30% top-down), buying and selling across all stages of the economic cycle while cautiously monitoring macroeconomic scenarios. Decisions are made collegially through interdisciplinary teams specialized by strategy, without star managers, supported by increasing use of quantitative and automated data tools. ESG considerations are integrated across several strategies.
