Investment thesis
Red Kite offers senior secured lending to producers of metals and minerals essential to the modern world and the shift to a low-carbon economy. It focuses on mid-cap and single-asset materials companies, financing the unlocking of development assets or the growth of existing operations. The firm places a strong, non-discretionary emphasis on environmental, social and governance considerations, viewing responsible investment as a way to reduce risk, support long-term value creation and provide competitive advantage. Since launching its lending fund in 2008, Red Kite has committed over US$2.0 billion to companies across the materials and mining industry.
