Born in New Jersey, USA, she began her career at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, then worked at Tokyo Marine Capital before joining INCJ, where she helped launch a medical-device-focused VC and led seed-to-early-stage investments in Japan and Silicon Valley. From 2018 she led global investments at Omron Ventures for six years across medical devices, digital health, AI, and robotics, and has been active in training medical innovators. She co-founded Red Capital and holds an MBA (Wharton) and a Ph.D. in biomedical science.
