Investment thesis
RDF Ventures is an operator-led fund backing founder-led, technology-enabled startups at pre-seed and seed. RDF Fund I is supported by the U.S. Treasury's SSBCI program through the Vermont Economic Development Authority, prioritizing companies based in or relocating to Vermont, with selective investments elsewhere. The fund focuses on the transition from late product to early go-to-market, offering hands-on support to accelerate execution and Series A readiness, and occasionally engaging founders as early as pre-formation. Though sector agnostic, the team's founder and operator experience across global accelerator and venture programs shapes strongest-conviction areas including deep tech, hard tech, AI, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, robotics, defense, energy, climate, space, and enterprise software.
