Investment thesis
Proteus Capital employs a long/short equity strategy centered on the global Technology, Media and Telecom sectors and industries disrupted by TMT. On the long side, it combines insights from venture partners and their portfolio companies to identify emerging next-generation leaders held through their growth phase, alongside mature companies positioned to benefit from industry consolidation and strong cash generation. On the short side, it targets newer companies unlikely to scale into leadership and mature firms in secularly declining segments, aiming to reduce downside volatility and the risk of permanent capital loss. The firm emphasizes rational, business-owner-minded analysis and adapting to changing fundamental conditions.
