Sylvia Kerrigan is Senior Vice-President and Chief Legal Officer at Occidental Petroleum (NYSE: OXY), and previously served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Marathon Oil Corporation, where she sat on the Executive Committee and worked on public policy, legal and compliance functions, and external communications, including the company's 2011 spin-off of its refining, transportation and retail assets. Her earlier roles include Executive Director at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center for Business, Law and Policy at the University of Texas and an appointment to the United Nations Security Council's Commission d'Indemnisation in Geneva.
