As the strategic venture team embedded within Magna International (not a separate fund), the group backs startups advancing the future of the vehicle and the mobility industry. Focus areas include advanced manufacturing (robotics, quality inspection, data for operations), sustainable and advanced materials, mobility (new form factors, business models, public transportation), electrification (inverters, electric motors, charging infrastructure), and ADAS/AV (next-gen sensors, operating systems, teleoperations, advanced compute). Magna leverages its global scale — operations in 28 countries and 327 manufacturing centers — to help startups build and scale their technology, unlock new business models, and expand its ecosystem.
