Investment thesis
Greencoat UK Wind is a UK-listed renewable infrastructure fund investing exclusively in UK wind generation assets, both onshore and offshore. It operates a portfolio of 49 wind farms totaling around 2 GW of installed capacity, powering roughly 2 million homes and avoiding significant annual CO2 emissions. The fund's objective is to deliver investors an annual dividend that rises with inflation (CPI) while preserving real capital value by reinvesting excess cashflow. By enabling direct participation in UK wind farm ownership, it channels additional resources toward the country's renewable energy transition, with sustainability considerations central to its operations and investment decisions.
