Green Investment Group focuses on mobilising private finance into the green energy and green infrastructure sectors. Originating as the world's first publicly funded green investment institution, it financed billions of pounds of UK green infrastructure between 2012 and 2017. After its acquisition by Macquarie and combination with Macquarie Capital's renewables team, it became one of the world's largest teams of specialist green infrastructure developers and investors, and today operates within Macquarie Asset Management with a continued emphasis on renewable energy and green infrastructure development and investment.
