Nizar Al-Bassam co-founded Centricus in 2016 and has more than 25 years of experience in financial markets. He previously served as Head of Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) at Deutsche Bank, overseeing capital markets, treasury solutions, sales, origination, investment banking and commercial banking. He also sat on several Deutsche Bank governance and management committees.

Tamara Williams is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Centricus Group, with more than 20 years of experience setting up and administering offshore and onshore fund structures. She previously headed the Private Equity Division of Sanne Group, an alternative asset administration firm, where she helped establish Centricus's presence in Jersey. She is a Chartered Certified Accountant.

Andrew Grinaker joined Centricus in 2025 as a Director, bringing over eight years of M&A and corporate finance experience across the US, Europe, and Africa, with a focus on technology and consumer/retail transactions. He was previously a Senior Associate in Morgan Stanley's Global Technology team in London and began his career with the Standard Bank Corporate Finance team.

Anthony Kelamis joined the Private Equity team at Centricus in 2017 and has more than ten years of finance experience, overseeing and leading several of the firm's investments across technology, media and sports. He previously worked in Saudi Aramco's Legal Department (seconded to Aramco Trading Company), in the Energy Practice Group at CMS Cameron McKenna in London, and began his career at Macquarie in Toronto. He holds a BA from McGill University, an LLB (Hons) from City, University of London, and both an LLM in International Business and a JD from Boston University School of Law.

Boyd Cuthbertson joined Centricus Asset Management in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing extensive experience in financial and treasury management, risk, corporate governance, audit and controls. Prior to Centricus, he ran his own financial and governance consultancy for nine years, including serving as CFO to two AIM-listed mining exploration companies, and previously held roles including Head of Risk and Compliance at Old Mutual plc, Managing Director at Bankers Trust, and Deputy General Manager of Audit and Compliance at Nomura Bank International. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant through Ernst & Young in 1982 and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Zimbabwe.

Cory Abdalla joined the Private Equity team at Centricus in 2021 and has over three years of finance experience. He previously worked as an analyst at The Yucaipa Companies, focusing on financial modelling and investment analysis related to real estate and hospitality assets, and completed an internship at Lion Capital in London. He earned a BS in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dandy Sulit has more than 10 years of experience in financial services spanning private equity, debt, real estate and corporate finance. Before joining Centricus, he spent eight years in fund administration, providing fund accounting and administration services to private equity and debt firms, and previously worked at KPMG in the Channel Islands and Ernst & Young in the Philippines. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines in 2004, and obtained a Certificate in Internal Audit in 2007.

Djani Efendi joined the Private Equity team at Centricus in 2023 and has more than five years of finance experience. He previously worked as an Investment Analyst at a private multi-asset investment fund, focusing on North American public technology equities across investment analysis, strategy development, and portfolio management. He earned an MSc in Finance from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School) and is pursuing an MSc in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania.

Emily Henderson is Deputy Chief Counsel at Centricus, with over 18 years of experience as a solicitor and compliance officer focused on public and private M&A, equity capital markets, corporate governance, and financial regulation. She previously served as Executive Director, General Counsel, and Head of Compliance at Continuum Advisory Partners, and earlier held compliance leadership roles at Rothschild & Co and Barclays' Investment Banking. She qualified as a corporate solicitor at Slaughter and May.

Emma Parkinson is a Partner at Centricus, where she works on strategic project execution. She trained as a lawyer with a background in structured and asset finance, M&A, capital markets, and asset management, starting her career at Allen & Overy in London and Paris before joining Goldman Sachs to oversee the investment management division's EMEA lending business and client solutions group. She is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales and holds a BA Hons in International Relations and a Masters in Law.

Garth Ritchie joined Centricus in June 2020, where he leads the firm's Capital Markets and Advisory business, drawing on more than 25 years in global financial markets. He previously spent his career at Deutsche Bank, which he joined in 1996 in Johannesburg, rising to member of the Management Board, Head of the Corporate & Investment Bank, and President. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Port Elizabeth in South Africa.

Halil Emecen has more than 25 years of experience in financial markets and investment banking, with a focus on structured finance and investment solutions. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs, serving as Head of Coverage for Turkey and Central Eastern Europe in the European Financing Group and earlier as Head of Securities for the Middle East and Africa business in Dubai. His earlier career included leading global markets for Turkey and Israel at Deutsche Bank, as well as roles at ABN AMRO Bank and Credit Suisse. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of New Haven and a BS in Business Administration from Bogazici University.

Harriet Martin joined the Client Coverage Team at Centricus in 2026 and has more than a decade of legal and finance experience. She previously served as a Legal and Investment Coordinator at Moore & Moore Investments, and earlier worked as a Private Wealth Solicitor in London and the Cayman Islands.

Hugh Nineham is Chief Counsel to Centricus, with a 40-year legal career in private practice focused on M&A and securities regulation. He was previously a partner at McDermott Will & Emery, where he headed the London office and European practice, and earlier a partner at Lovells (now Hogan Lovells), leading its corporate practice. He is a solicitor qualified in England & Wales and holds a Master of Arts in law from Cambridge University.

Josh Purvis is Chief Operating Officer of Centricus Group and Chief Executive Officer of Centricus Asset Management, with two decades of finance industry experience in banking and consulting across Europe, North America and Asia. He previously served as Global Chief Operating Officer for the Securities Division's Equities business at Goldman Sachs and held COO and Chief of Staff roles across its global equities and FICC franchises, and before that was a Principal in the financial services consulting practice at Booz Allen Hamilton (later Booz & Company). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen's University in Canada.

Malcolm Schutte joined the Advisory and Private Equity team at Centricus in 2023 and has more than a decade of financial services experience. He previously worked as an associate at Oceanrock, a South African financial services consulting firm, handling buy-side and sell-side mandates with a focus on financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis, and started his career at JTC Group, an LSE-listed financial services firm. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Markus Thomas is the Senior Executive Officer of Centricus Limited in Abu Dhabi (ADGM), with more than 15 years of experience in finance and capital markets. He previously helped establish institutions in Abu Dhabi's ecosystem, including the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and the Abu Dhabi IPO Fund, and earlier headed capital markets advisory at an Abu Dhabi financial institution after roles at merchant and investment banks in London and Zurich, beginning his career in Credit Suisse's Investment Banking Division. He holds Master's degrees in Finance and International Management from the London School of Economics & Political Science, the University of St. Gallen, and the Stockholm School of Economics.

Ram Thothadri has more than 20 years of experience in financial markets, working between London and Dubai. He most recently served at Deutsche Bank as Co-Head of the Financing & Solutions Group for the CEEMEA region, and previously led Corporate Finance & Capital Markets Coverage for the MENA region, overseeing origination and distribution of capital market products. He holds an MBA from IIM Bangalore and a B.E. (Honors) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani.

Samantha Garner is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience spanning banking and finance, corporate, commercial, technology, and digital media and television. She began her career in acquisition finance as a solicitor in London and Paris with Dentons and later Addleshaw Goddard, and has served as legal counsel for UK-listed companies including Santander, The Paragon Group of Companies, Allied Healthcare, and Maverick Television. She advises companies and investors on M&A and other corporate and commercial legal matters.

Sean Finnerty has more than 20 years of experience in financial markets, spanning international leadership, coverage, and execution roles. He joined Centricus in 2025 to help expand the firm's US business and capabilities. He previously worked at Apollo in London on origination and debt capital markets, and earlier held roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Deutsche Bank focused on non-investment grade debt and direct lending. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

Sir John Chipman KCMG is a Senior Adviser to Centricus and the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Promaka. He previously served for 30 years as Director-General and Chief Executive, and later Executive Chairman, of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), where he established inter-governmental summits including the Shangri-La Dialogue and the Manama Dialogue. He speaks on political risk, regional security, and global trends, has authored two books and numerous articles, and was appointed KCMG in June 2023.

Sir Sajid Javid is a Senior Adviser to Centricus. He previously served as the United Kingdom's Chancellor of the Exchequer and held six Cabinet roles, including at the Treasury, Home Office, and Health. Prior to his political career, he spent 20 years in international investment banking, holding senior roles at JP Morgan Chase and Deutsche Bank across London, New York, and Singapore.

Taha Zghidi joined the Private Equity team at Centricus in 2024 and has around three years of experience across private equity, finance and portfolio work. Before Centricus, he worked on investment evaluation, portfolio strategy and operational initiatives across Groupe Zghidi's portfolio companies, and led the development of NovaLab, a consumer health venture launching a multivitamin brand. He holds an MSc in Financial Analysis from London Business School and a BSc in Mathematics from King's College London.
