Investment thesis
First Venture is an investment company focused on three megatrends: technology, health, and sustainability. It targets early-stage Swedish growth companies at the bottom of the 'Valley of Death' — the vulnerable phase where companies struggle to secure funding to bring products to market — seeing opportunity there due to less competition and potential for higher value growth. It invests in both unlisted and listed companies, typically as a minority owner, valuing strong founder ownership. For private companies it works actively via the board and coaching, aiming for a listing within about three years. Sustainability and ESG criteria (UN Global Compact, SDGs) are integrated into every investment.
