Farm Credit East

Investment thesis

Farm Credit East is a mission-driven, member-owned agricultural financial cooperative and part of the nationwide Farm Credit System. It serves more than 18,000 producers involved in farming, forestry, fishing and related agribusinesses across Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey and Vermont. The cooperative provides loans (land, operating, facility, equipment), leases, crop insurance, tax and financial services, and dedicated programs for young and beginning farmers. Governed by a member-elected board, it returns net earnings to customer-owners through patronage dividends and supports Northeast rural communities through grants, scholarships and volunteering.
