Evans Capital

Managing Partner of Evans Capital focused on direct investment, ownership, and management of commercial real estate. She co-founded the VIA Art Fund in 2013 and served as its President and Executive Director from 2013 to 2021.

Bruce Evans joined Summit Partners in 1986 and served as a Managing Director before transitioning to a Senior Advisor role. Over his career he has served as a board director for more than 40 companies, including 14 public companies such as Analog Devices, FleetCor Technologies, Hittite Microwave, Hyperion Software, OPNET Technologies, optionsXpress, and Pediatrix Medical Group (later MEDNAX). Before entering the investment world, he sold mainframe computers for IBM in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been active in the venture capital community, founding the NVCA's Growth Equity Group and serving on the NVCA board, and holds leadership roles tied to Vanderbilt University and the Nashville venture scene. He was named to the Forbes Midas List from 2006 to 2009.

Kristine Wheeler joined Evans Capital in 2022 as Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis. She previously worked as a Senior Associate at Browne Consulting Group serving venture-backed biotech companies and spent five years as a Tax Supervisor at Edelstein & Company focused on investment partnership taxation and reporting for a single family office. She holds a BS in Accounting from Bentley University.

Suzy Almeida joined Evans Capital in 2022 as Senior Executive Assistant to Bruce Evans and Office Manager, bringing over a decade of administrative management experience, including 7 years as Lead Executive Assistant at a global technology company. She holds a BS in Sociology, cum laude, from Suffolk University.

Whitney Malak joined Evans Capital at its 2019 founding as Director of Real Assets, overseeing operations including project management, art investments, real estate, and HR. She has over 20 years of investment industry experience, previously at Staley Capital and Affiliated Managers Group, and holds a BA in Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
