The eco.business Fund aims to conserve biodiversity and support climate change adaptation and mitigation while delivering diversified returns for investors. It finances the adoption of more sustainable practices by companies in Latin America and Africa, channeling capital primarily through financial institutions so more businesses can access funding, and also investing directly in sustainability-committed businesses. The fund uses a blended-finance structure uniting public and private investors, and complements financing with Advisory & Capacity Building services funded by a separate pool of sponsors. It holds that economic development can be compatible with biodiversity conservation and responsible use of natural resources.
