Investment thesis
Cavenham Capital follows a top-down process that begins with macro and market research combining quantitative data and qualitative judgement. Portfolios are constructed against each client's specific written mandate, with position sizing driven by conviction, liquidity and correlation to existing holdings. Risk oversight is deliberately separated from the investment team and reports directly to the firm's governing committee, with formal escalation when a portfolio drifts outside agreed guidelines. Controls include mandate limits constraining exposure by asset class, sector and single position; liquidity reviews assessing the cost of unwinding positions under stress; drawdown monitoring against thresholds; and independent reporting. Clients receive regular reporting on positioning, performance and risk.
