Through its seventh call for applications, ACTIVA-CATIE provides seed capital funded by Costa Rica's Sistema de Banca para el Desarrollo alongside guidance from business specialists at its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab. The program targets formalized rural small and medium enterprises and agricultural producers, as well as associative models such as cooperatives and consortia, prioritizing sectors traditionally excluded from formal finance. Categories offer roughly 7-8 million colones for consolidating businesses transforming their models through innovation and sustainability, up to 15 million colones for consolidated firms seeking national and international expansion, and up to 8 million colones for associative models.
