Investment thesis
Cape Fear Ventures invests at the early stage in founders building the infrastructure of the orbital and physical economy. It concentrates on four sectors: enterprise software modernizing industries still run on spreadsheets and phone calls; applied AI aimed at proprietary data and workflows; defense and national security technology fielded in demanding conditions; and space infrastructure spanning manufacturing, power, propulsion, awareness, and reusability. The firm aims to pair operational support with technology judgment, helping teams move quickly when useful and deliberately on major decisions, with the goal of building durable companies that can survive downturns.
