Its principal vehicle, FIDEAGRO, supports agricultural producers and their value chains to safeguard national food security, focusing on basic grains, livestock, vegetables, minor species, and fruit. Support is delivered through four pillars: compensating preferential interest rates on financing, providing a loan guarantee fund, granting seed capital to entrepreneurial projects, and extending fresh credit to FIDEAGRO clients for food-security projects.
